Teaching Children to be Safe
through Behavioral Safety Techniques

Entertaining and informative half hour program links our genetic fear of alligators with unsafe things kids do every day. Variations for each grade group

• Learning Objective:
To avoid physical injury or death by learned behaviors rather than enforced observance of a list of rules. Work on changing behaviors as a way of being safe rather than specific item rules (list of do’s and don’ts).

• Teaching approach:
Using a live alligator which provides entertainment and wildlife education, illustrate that we are genetically wired to fear certain animals and not man-made devices. Students will understand that they should have a respect and fear for bicycles, cars , tools, electrical equipment, etc.

• Easily affordable:
The safety council is a non-profit educational organization. Wyoming is a big state. The key to keeping the cost within budget is either for our trainer to already be in your area or to have multiple schools and classes on the same date. Let us know if this exciting and education program is something you would like and we can work together to schedule it.
